Darebin Ganesh Festival

Darebin Ganesh Festival is an immersive Hindu Cultural and religious experience brought from the streets of Mumbai to Darebin Arts Centre.

Several traditions and rituals performed by a religious leader will be followed arts, drama and musical events throughout the day. The Ganesh Festival culminates at Bundoora Park after a procession from Darebin Arts Centre with hundreds of participants chanting hymns and slogans.

PROGRAM

11am: Cultural program & arts activities for children
12.30: Refreshments
1.30pm: Visarjan Puja and Ceremony conducted by Arti Upasane
1.45pm: Formal Proceedings by the Mayor of Darebin
2pm: Procession departs for the Immersion of Ganesh statue at Bundoora Park.
3.00pm: Immersion.
