FUSE Coronavirus Update

FUSE Autumn 2020 - Cancelled

Like communities around the country and the world, Darebin City Council is taking measures to promote good health and limit the impacts of the coronavirus in our community.

The safety of our community and staff is our top priority. In keeping with this, Council has made the decision to close some of our community venues and services until further notice, as well as cancel or postpone some events.

This includes the cancellation of the Autumn FUSE 2020 festival. This is further to the announcement last Friday 13th March of the cancellation or postponement of FUSE feature events including;

  • Meet the Makers, Sunday 15 March – Postponed to Sunday 13 September 2020
    • Keon Spark, Keon Park Children’s Hub – Sunday 22 March - CANCELLED
    • FUSE Open Air Film Night, TW Andrews Reserve, Saturday 21 March - CANCELLED
    • FUSE Design Market, NTHAC, Saturday 28 March – CANCELLED
    • FUSE Closing Party, NTHAC, Saturday 28 March – CANCELLED

We are aware of adverse effects on local arts and culture industry and realise that some of smaller venues and event producers will choose to go ahead as planned or in a restricted capacity. We recommend audiences check with individual programmers or venues directly for up to date event information.

You can continue to check for any Darebin City Council service updates on the website www.darebin.vic.gov.au or social media channels and can continue to email or call 8470 8888 to speak to a Darebin Customer Service representative.

Please also continue to see https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus for the latest advice and information from the coronavirus lead authorities.

We hope our community understands these decisions are not taken lightly, but now is the time to look after ourselves and each other as we work together across the community to promote good health, patience and compassion, and lessen the impact of the Coronavirus.

Please continue to take good care of yourselves and those around you.

If you would like to discuss anything related to FUSE, please feel free to contact the Festival and Events team.

We look forward to a return of FUSE this coming Spring 2020
