The Last Dance

Come along and dance the day away

Presented by All the Queen's Men

FUSE Autumn 2023 closes with a bang courtesy of our closing party, The Last Dance, presented by All the Queen’s Men.

Inspired by the LGBTIQ+ Elders Dance Club, The Last Dance is a delightful afternoon soiree filled with Motown & disco classic tunes, performed by Melbourne’s best vocalists including Wendy Stapleton, Nefertiti LaNegra, 2joocee, a DJ set by Miss Katalyna and dancers Luke Smiles, Dandrogyny, Holly Durrant and Gabbi Barton with Tristan Meecham emceeing.

Roll out the disco ball and join us for this intergenerational event designed for the whole LGBTIQ+ and allied community.

Please note: this is a free event, but registration is required.

"It made many people who, in their day to day lives in our society feel or are made to feel marginalised, neglected, invisible, lonely. It made these people feel valued, important, beautiful and cared about. I cannot express strongly enough how valuable that is. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it."
— Older LGBTIQ+ person
"All The Queens Men are part genius, part theatricality & part social warriors - using love, creativity & acceptance to transform what it is to be human - & along the way people change in front of your eyes - communities are bolder & braver & standing in the light."
— Alison Duncan, Manager: Community, City of Melbourne.
"Increasingly our connections are becoming international: the world is ageing, and the opportunities and challenges offered by this demographic change inspire dialogue and learning across continents. The more I learned about ATQM’s innovative and empowering approach - ensuring that all its related activities are truly owned by LGBTI+ elders - the more I realised that there is a great deal that we can learn in Scotland from ATQM."
— Anne Gallacher, Director, Luminate, Scotland’s creative ageing organisation.
