Stray Dogs - Online Reading Series

Stray Dogs

Stray Dogs is an online reading series made up of writers reflecting on art in times of contagion and edited by Diego Ramirez. These emerging and established writers look at current events in direct and oblique ways, while considering issues of identity, intimacy, and structural transformation. Their ideas stray from the dominant culture, transiting the raw paths of contemporary life under pandemic isolation. Each of these pieces was originally published in the arts journal Running Dog and have been reanimated in the virtual space for FUSE Festival, with the writers themselves bringing voice to this digital corpus. These texts include reviews, commentary, autobiography and ficto-criticism.

The readings will be uploaded in dispatches for the duration of the festival via www.straydogs.run, while also being distributed via newsletters and social media. As the readings are uploaded, the site will evolve into an archive of the disorienting times we are experiencing.

CONTENT WARNING: Some of the readings contain strong language and adult themes.
