Pieces of Darebin: Spring Salon

A community art exhibition and maker’s market bringing together local artists and crafters to showcase and sell their work to the larger community.

Bridge Darebin invites you to the opening of our community arts exhibition, Pieces of Darebin: Spring Salon, alongside our much-loved local Maker's Market and Young at Heart Market. Featuring over 75 artists, the exhibition showcases artworks made by students and staff from our pottery, Aboriginal Grandmother’s pottery group and visual and adaptive arts programs. Pieces of Darebin: Spring Salon celebrates the creative potential of our students and staff through a range of displayed work, from sculpture to painting. The exhibition launches alongside the Maker’s Market and Young at Heart Market, showcasing the work of local and youth crafters and creatives while providing visitors with the opportunity to meet the makers, purchase their wares and gain insight into their crafts.

Exhibition Launch and Makers Market: Saturday 16 September 10:00am–2:00pm

Exhibition runs from 16-20 September 10:00am–2:00pm

"I love making art and experimenting with different mediums and wanted to share my enthusiasm with others. It's always so exciting to see what everyone makes, which is as individual as the person making it. Bridge Darebin and Heart Of Thornbury are welcoming spaces which helps bring all different kinds of people together, I love being able to facilitate that meeting and strengthen community."
