Foster & Berean: Fatigue / Lewis Fidock & Joshua Petherick: Weevils in the Flour

For the first exhibitions at Gertrude Contemporary in 2020, we are thrilled to be working with collaborative duo Foster & Berean (Pat Foster & Jen Berean) and Joshua Petherick, working in collaboration with Lewis Fidock.

Foster & Berean and Petherick are alumni of the Gertrude Studio Program, with Foster & Berean participating in the program from 2007-2009 and Petherick participating in 2011-2013.

Since their respective studio residencies, the artists have gone on to develop significant practices and been invited to develop new solo projects and participate in group exhibitions in international biennale, institutional and gallery contexts.

In the presentation of these paired solo exhibitions, Gertrude demonstrates its ongoing engagement with the artists, and provides a substantial institutional exhibiting opportunity for them to develop and present new projects in Melbourne.
