2020 Darebin Community Awards

Call for Nominations

As a result of COVID-19 restrictions, we have rescheduled the 2020 Darebin Community Awards until March 2021. A proposed presentation evening will be held at the Darebin Arts Centre, in March 2021.

Nominations are sought for people and groups who have made an outstanding contribution to the Darebin community. Also acknowledging all the good community work that has been done during the pandemic, nominate your ‘local heroes’. Hero’s need to be recognised. Nominations are now open and close 11 February 2021.

Darebin Community Awards, will be given in the following seven categories:

  • Citizen of the Year
  • Young Citizen of the Year
  • Community Group of the Year
  • Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Community Leader of the Year
  • Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Emerging Young Community Leader of the Year
  • Sustainability Award
  • Lifetime Achievement Award.

 

If you know a person or group that’s made a positive impact in our community, now is the time to consider nominating them for a Darebin Community Award. Nominations Open September 1, 2020 and Nominations close Friday February 11, 2021.

Darebin Community Awards Key Dates:

Nominations Open: 1 September 2020

Nominations Close: 11 February 2021

The Darebin Community Awards ceremony will take place either IRL or virtually at Darebin Arts Centre Thursday 18 March 2021.
